Chris Sanders- another influence.

Chris Sanders was another of the teachers at RMIT when I was there. He was nice. And didn't ask difficult questions. Probably because he wasn't actually my teacher. But you somehow wanted to do your best for him. I love his perfect quiet forms. I try to achieve a similar "just so"ness. Not too flashy. Not to "dynamic". Just a quiet perfection that you notice gradually. A kind of inner peace. Most of his work is only decorated with the glaze. Although this one has a few lines of blue. My work was still covered with painted decoration because I didn't feel the form quite stood on its own! One day I will make a plain white pot that looks like it is complete.
